Therapeutic Oils are not just for massage. They can be used for hair treatments, bath and foot soaks, in liquid soaps, vaporizers, reflexology, sprit's, and more. The following are some formulas that are easy to make and the results are spectacular.

Aphrodisiac Oil

    • 50 ml of Sweet Almond oil
    • 14 drops of Rosewood
    • 8 drops of Jasmine
    • 5 drops of Ylang Ylang

Place ingredients into a small dark bottle. Shake gently to mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Use sparingly. As the oil is warmed by the hands and body, the aroma intensifies. Label and date the bottle.

Dry Skin Problems

    • 20 ml of Sweet Almond oil
    • 6 drops of vitamin E oil
    • 4 drops of Clary sage
    • 3 drops of Jasmine
    • 3 drops of Sandalwood
    • 5 drops of Ylang Ylang

Place ingredients into a small dark bottle. Shake gently to mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Use sparingly. As the oil is warmed by the hands and body the aroma intensifies. Label and date the bottle.

Fragrant Liquid Hand Soap

    • 16 ounces non scented soap
    • 5 drops of Lemon Oil
    • 5 drops of Orange Oil
    • 5 drops of Mandarin Oil

Place the ingredients into a pump bottle.

Milk Bath

    • 1/2 cup full cream powdered Milk
    • 6 drops of Lavender oil
    • 2 drops of Clary sage

Mix together ingredient, then pour into bath as ater is running. This will help to dissolve the ingredients and to be fully dispersed throughout the tub.

Potent Premenstrual Potion*

    • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
    • 2 tbsp. Arnica or St. John's Wort infusion oil
    • 2 tsp. evening primrose or borage oil
    • 20 drops Lavender essential oils
    • 10 drops Rosemary essential oil
    • 6 drops Clary Sage essential oil
    • 6 drops Juniper essential oil
    • 6 drops Lemon essential oil

To an amber glass bottle, add the essential oils. Add the infusion and vegetable oils. Shake gently. Label contents with directions for use. Massage a small amount of the oil to the lower abdominal region and low back area. Use gentle hand pressure to apply the aromatic oil, working towards the heart to encourage blood return and increase lymphatic drainage. Apply daily during periods of PMS symptoms, and up to two weeks prior to menstruation.

Oh Boy! I Ate Too Much

    • 10 drops Mandarin essential oil
    • 2 drops Peppermint essential oil
    • 2 drops Ginger essential oil
    • 5 drops Lemon essential oil
    • 3 drops Coriander essential oil

Blend together in these proportions and use 1-2 drops in honey tea. It is a very good idea to make this ahead of time, and have it ready for all those summer parties, and winter festivals.

Mandarin Grog**

    • 6 ounces of water
    • 1 bottle of red wine
    • 1 bottle of port
    • 7 ounces of vodka or brandy
    • 2 drops of Clove essential oil
    • 1 drop Nutmeg essential oil
    • 6 drops Mandarin essential oil
    • 2 mandarins washed
    • 2 ounces blanched, flaked almonds
    • 2 ounces raisins
    • 2 ounces raw cane sugar

Put the water, vodka, essential oils, fruit, and sugar in a large nonmetallic pan. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for thirty minutes. Add the wine and the port and bring to a boil. Allow to stand 8 hours off the heat. Strain, add almonds, reheat and serve.

Healing Hand Oil

    • 10 drops Carrot essential oil
    • 2 tsp Avocado essential oil
    • 10 drops Jojoba essential oil
    • 10 drops Evening Primrose essential oil
    • 2 vitamin E capsules, opened
    • 5 drops Rose essential oil
    • 2 drops Lemon or Lime essential oil
    • 1 drop Geranium essential oil
    • 2 drops Sandalwood essential oil

Combine all ingredients up to and including the vitamin E oil. Blend well and add the final ingredients. Massage a tiny amount into the hands for a wonderful, healing feeling.
